Craig Caswell and Brian Watson of Central Lancs DA took the spoils in the 14th National Bogie Race
2008 gave us a spectacular bogie race with some of the fastest speeds ever recorded. This came however, with the consequences of a few injuries which has never happened before. For this reason, we shall be looking at the rules and making some changes. We have also learnt some lessons about the course design and will be removing any adverse camber bends in the future. This may be a bit of a let down for many of the drivers, but it is your health and safety which is paramount. That said, as always, everyone had a wonderful and exciting weekend with 69 teams and 134 inividuals entering the race. This resulted in the format of the day having to be altered to enable us to get through the race list. We had a total of 197 units attending which exceeded our wildest expectations and resulted in the DA running short of pennons and food in the cafe very quickly. Our thanks to all those who attended and helped in making this such an amazing weekend.

A new version of the TomTom Points of interest pinpointing all of the LDA Rallies for 2008 is available from the Rallies & Holiday Sites page . This was updated on 20th February 2008.

Points of interest files have also been developed for Garmin and NavMan Satnav systems.

Photos of DA rallies

Do you have any photographs of any of our meets, showing the site or views from it?  I would like some of these to put on the website and I am also thinking of putting together a wall calendar with the meets listed and with pictures of some of the sites.

If you have digital pictures email them to me via the webmaster using the link below.  Or if you only have prints of photos let me borrow them to scan in, they will all be returned.

Surprisingly, very few people have pictures of the sites or views from them, so if you have any at all, please don't keep them to yourselves.
